Bruce Barfield began his professional career at Delta Air Lines as a systems analyst. He left Delta Air Lines in 1988 to tap his entrepreneurial skills by starting a company specializing in software consulting for the travel industry. His initial project provided him a role building the first distributed computer airline revenue management system for Aer Lingus together with the Aeronomics team.
After this engagement, Mr. Barfield worked with such companies as Marriott, Hilton, Continental and Delta Air Lines building and enhancing their revenue management systems. The company then grew into building systems for the airline industry that was installed at more than 30 airlines on six continents. These systems have helped airlines generate hundreds of millions of dollars in ROI by providing new CRM data. Mr. Barfield sold this company to a large Irish corporation prior to forming The Rainmaker Group Unlimited in 1998.
