Rick Campana, vice president of corporate marketing, is responsible for new product development, customer relationship management and revenue management, as well as UPS’s activities in the area of customer facing technologies and e-commerce.

Mr. Campana assumed marketing responsibilities at UPS in 1993 and has held his post since 1997. During this time, he has overseen the revamping of UPS’s product development process as well as the launch of numerous technology and small package transportation products. Mr. Campana also played a key role in the initial public offering of UPS stock in 1999.

Like many UPSers, Mr. Campana advanced within UPS from operations, where he began in 1972 as a part-time package sorter while earning his bachelor’s degree from Temple University. Additionally, much of Mr. Campana’s 35-year UPS career was spent in industrial engineering, providing a broad understanding of the business when analyzing new products and services.

Mr. Campana has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is chairman of the Georgia State University Marketing Roundtable, and a member of the Conference Board Council of Marketing Executives and the Board of Advisors for the Atlanta Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
